Voting powers must have taken down CJ, who was comfortably behind T_R. And only one special died, killed by the neutral/serial killer Squashua.
-CJ Iwakura WAS Shalmelo (Mafia), died to the vote -The Cow King WAS Winky (Old-School), beaten with Game Theory -Infidel WAS Look Out It’s Sabs! (Spectrum Red, New Recruit to the God-Emperor’s Tank Brigade, Old-School), WTF SQUASHUA -Romanqwerty WAS FrostMist (New School), IT’S THE MOTHERFUCKING KIRBO -Rawkking Goodguy WAS robothero (Old School), Homing Chairs -Jdarksun WAS Wildcat (Old School), taken down by the mafia -Samurai6966 WAS Nocturne (Old School), shown the power of the Dark Side

I don't think 1 vote is comfortably behind T_R. If there are vote modifier powers then that could have easily swayed it.

Looks like precisionk (God Emperor) is a converting neutral faction, Squshua is a serial killer, and Infidel was a guardian (or perhaps sacrificed himself due to the god emperor's converting ability) who was just converted.
And the village has two vigilantes, Kirbo and some veteran using Game Theory.

Rend is being suspicious. Either a mouthpiece for a seer or a seer himself.

Also, lonelyahava is really irked that Rainfall isn't apparently dead.

So what kind of vote manipulation powers caused it? Looking at the narration:
"Quite a few players had formed into small mobs, each intent on trying to kill certain individuals. The largest group seemed intended for whomever Reflection was. But as they approached Reflection, they became confused! Reflection took the chance to escape, thankful for his fortune."
Confused? Able to cancel out the votes of various targets?
What's much more concerning is someone choosing to use that power to make CJ eat the vote. Let's assume that there was no way to know CJ was mafia, that means the vote manipulator either is Reflection or someone who had a reason to make reflection live.
You could make an argument that whoever manipulated the votes did it just for fun or had some logical reason to believe that a second place on day one was more likely to be mafia than a first place in a narrow vote. (Honestly, that's probably true.) But I'm concerned about the possibility that Reflection is some kind of good special.

Alternatively, Reflection himself has the vote manipulation ability and saved his own ass.

Recap of the early aftermath of the night
lonelyahava claims to have attacked Rainfall, who survived. Rend vouches for Phyphor who had an early bandwagon going on him. Probable masons. There's that whole bluestreak thing

Also it seems very likely at this point that Rainfall has the Squasha role.

The way I read it, the narration suggests that Precision K was attempting to attack Squasha and was foiled. Incidentally, Rainfall included Squasha in the fake results, and included the name in black, which Mr. D mentioned.

Yeah, but he also listed cj as mafia, which was randomly correct. Also, the narration reads like Squashua tried to hit precisionk, but one of his converts protected him.

Okay, you're right. Re-reading that's what happened, while whoever has the PrecisionK role killed Samurai6966. That does call some of Ahava's claims into question.

Having only TWO kills in a huge mini is going to make it tough. I don't think it's going to be managable at all if we eat too many losses.
