Good point. Still, we're kind of short on covers. Maybe Advent will hand out new ones. Failing that, we can just dig up some random ones. Agreed, but let's avoid that if possible since we don't know exacttttly who advent left out. I'd just pick someone that only played a couple phallas.

I sent B:L some additional covers. All mafia members are listed on your PM. I will provide sample PMs once I finish narration.

Roles which definitely call for cover identities: Burnage, Lady Eri, TehSpectre, Rainfall
Those are the ones that I think of as stereotypically evil/never to be fully trusted. Also, B:L and OS on the same team; may we live in interesting times.

Anyone got a preference on Day 1 kill?

Ok, so B:L's role is pretty great. He seers as good, has a kill that looks like a village kill and can be protected in two different ways by us (one-way bus driver and a guard).
So what do you all think about having him come out as the vigilante day 1 and guarded by us in case someone lands a lucky shot? He is then the village vigilante (nobody would suspect the thrall would have a village kill). If things go well and the network takes him in, we slowly take them out so as not to provoke suspicion.
That is my serious suggestion. A less likely and crazier suggestion is to have him kill one of us on day three, should things go extremely well. That way he would be the last person the network would suspect.

Should it come to that, I volunteer to be killed. I usually don't last much longer than 3 or 4 days anyway. I love the idea. I'm just worried of the narration having anything like "target X was VLAD'd" in it.

Doesn't Rainfall just die on day one?

I like Thorgot's suggestion except for the fact that we don't quite know how the seering mechanic will work. If it gives the name of the player, well I doubt anyone would believe that "Burnage" was a role that was just the village vig. The Burnage role has to be over the top crazy, right? I might naturally suspect serial killer. Also, the OP specifically said unpopular mechanics are in play, and thralls are in that category.
On the other hand, B:L will likely get seered early anyway, so maybe it's best to get ahead of the story.

If nothing else, B:L sure knows how to draw attention, which very much works in our favor here.

And the worst that can happen is that we lose our thrall and our second kill becomes an honest mafia kill instead of a village kill.

I think we should use the cover roles on an as needed basis, and try to avoid using them at all. I'm concerned about the possibility of mechanics seers, or similar, who could catch us in a lie. For example, if I had been telling people I'm extermatott but got seen bus driving. Not sure that would fly.
We do need to talk about who to kill. It's worth pointing out that Spectrum is at least pretending to have drawn the B:L role. But day one killing Spectrum would probably be a dick move.

Yeah, I guess the benefits definitely outweigh the games with this play. The benefit being that we can pretty much control the network and possibly learn who most of the village specials are. The downside would be it doesn't work and we lose one player and people see that there is the extra mafia kill.
We just need to play it carefully and I think it could work.

Okay, so let's think specifically about how to do it. I'm thinking the reveal would be post close, pre-narration reveal of the target, correct? B:L, would you be available at that time?
